The why.

It all started after a group of us went out for bubble tea, got super excited about a new flavour - it had all the types of dairy and sugar involved - and only remembered after the fact that none of us could tolerate lactose. There were a lot of horrified text messages flying around later that day, including, "Why isn't there vegan bubble tea?!" 

The rest is history.

Why we do it.

After searching and searching for some delicious vegan bubble tea, not just a place that provided alternative milks, we came up empty handed. That wasn't good enough and we knew we weren't alone in our search so we decided to take matters into our own hands. Thus started the uncontrollable monster that is Ballsy Tea.

​Deep in the history of bubble tea, researching various methods and recipes we realised, why stop at making it vegan? This all started after getting sick from a big cup of sugary bubble tea, dairy wasn't the only cause so we chucked out the fructose, the preservatives and added fake flavours. We went alllll nat-tur-al.

Each sip you take has to make you do a happy dance because it tastes so damn good and you know has only good things in it. 

​That's why we blend, brew, mix and make everything from scratch - from the tea and powders, to the pearls and toppings - using traditional asian flavours with an Australian native twist. Most importantly, everything is produced and packaged with the future of the planet in mind.
